Tax credits will support the North Country Community Recreation Center in creating a versatile all-weather community gathering and recreation space. Covering the existing open air ice rink and outdoor walking track will enhance the usability of space enabling the center to host outdoor events and develop a community gathering location for the North Country which could host up to 1,400 people and drive economic activity in the region. These upgrades will complement renovations underway to create a community center and pool co-located on the 9.7 acre property which also includes an outdoor playground, gazebo and connections to recreation trails.
