The Community Action Partnership Belknap-Merrimack Counties, Inc. will use the tax credit funding to make improvements to its Laconia Senior Center, including upgrading the current kitchen into a fully functional commercial kitchen. Increased kitchen capacity and functionality will transform the Center into a stronger, more dependable hub for physical, emotional and social well-being for seniors. The upgrades will increase the number of days meals are served on site, significantly expand the Meals-on-Wheels program for Belknap County and the City of Franklin, improve the usable programming space and create two additional jobs.
