Waypoint’s New Youth Homeless Center in Rochester

Waypoint recently unveiled its new Rochester Youth Resource Center on October 24. The new facility will connect youth to services at a critical point in their lives, which can make all the difference in their future, and fills a significant gap in New Hampshire’s safety net for youth.

The Rochester Youth Resource Center offers a food pantry, a clothing closet, laundry, showers, snacks, lockers, a place to use computers, connect with other youth and meet staff ready to support them. CDFA supported the project through an investment from its New Hampshire Tax Credit Program.

Waypoint has estimated that more than 14,000 young people will experience some form of homelessness in New Hampshire this year. The organization hosts an annual Sleep Out each year to raise awareness of the impact of homelessness on youth.
