The Community Development Finance Authority (CDFA) Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) program is accepting applications for Microenterprise Development Assistance Grant Funds for FY17. CDFA will make available up to $750,000 for 2017.
Eligible applicants include all incorporated cities, counties, and towns, except for the entitlement municipalities. Applications for Microenterprise Development Assistance grants must be submitted no later than 4 pm on April 14, 2017. CDFA will accept applications and collect program data in its online grant management system: https://nhcdfagrants.org.
A “microenterprise” is a commercial enterprise that has five or fewer employees, one or more of whom owns the enterprise. "Persons developing microenterprises" means persons who have expressed interests in and who are, or after an initial screening process are expected to be, actively working toward developing businesses, each of which is expected to be a microenterprise at the time it is formed. Grant funds are available to provide assistance in the form of business training, technical assistance, support services a9nd accessible and affordable credit to microenterprises in New Hampshire.
The award will be decided by the Community Development Advisory Committee on May 4, 2017. The program year is July 1st, 2017 – June 30th, 2018.
