The Nashua Region Planning Commission (NRPC) and the Central NH Regional Planning Commission (CNHRPC) are partnering to provide technical assistance for economic development planning.
Many towns in the Regional Planning Commissions (RPCs) jurisdictions lack the internal capacity to realize their own vision for the future. RPCs can help fill that gap. Wilton’s historic downtown is recognized as a potential economic asset but there are chronic vacancy issues, a lack of consistent activity, a drab appearance and little new investment. Similarly, Pittsfield has many tax deeded properties and although the Town’s vision is starting to form, it needs an action plan that will provide a shared vision for future development.
The economic development strategies created as part of this project will build on the town master plans and provide residents and policy makers a roadmap for economic development efforts.
