The Community Action Partnership of Strafford County (Strafford CAP) seeks to acquire a 14,970 square foot condominium at the St. Charles Church property in Dover, NH. Strafford CAP would purchase the condominium from The Housing Partnership (THP) which is building 39 low-income, workforce housing units on the second and third floors of the new construction building. Strafford CAP will occupy the commercial space on the ground floor.
Strafford CAP currently has three sites in Dover which will be consolidated into this new condominium, with remaining sites in Somersworth, Rochester, Farmington and Milton. The agency has experienced tremendous growth and the current Dover locations are no longer suitable for the services provided. Programs which will be housed in this new facility include the entire Head Start program, weatherization, the food pantry, fuel assistance, electricity assistance, homeless outreach, coordinated access, emergency services and their general administration.
